3 Must-Have Capabilities For Field Sales Optimization in 2017
When RW3 started out 25 years ago, our company and our customers were using landlines and payphones. The speed of change has never slowed and we only anticipate that it will continue to accelerate. To keep your team ahead of the competition your field sales solution must have these three capabilities and features.
1. Run Offline
It doesn’t matter if your app has the functionality of a Ginzu knife if you can’t make it work when there’s no Wi-Fi/Broadband it is useless. You need an app that will sync the latest data both before and after you lose connection and still let you use the tools—like sell sheets, sales reports, and audit functions even when there’s no connectivity. As soon as you’re back in range, it needs to be able to upload the latest data to the cloud automatically. And apps that only provide limited functionality when offline are bound to frustrate your field reps.
2. Photo Library / Photo Gallery
If your share of shelf is significantly off, an expensive promotion is being badly handled or you have out of stocks, it takes seconds to document and share this information with all parties with a photo. The problem is it can take a lot longer when your photos start to accumulate and soon overload your system rendering them useless. A photo library or gallery allows for you to manage photos through a variety of factors such as promotions, accounts, reps, and so on.
3. Mobile Reports & Interactive Dashboards
Today’s sales environment is increasingly granular—a trend that’s not likely to change. Tiny variances in how each salesperson is performing relative to KPIs, how each product is selling in each store, or how different campaigns work in various communities can yield huge differences in profitability and performance. These instances become easily identifiable, and being able to share them across teams and accounts can make a significant impact with sales efforts.
