Gartner’s 2016 REM Market Guide Highlights RW3

Gartner, one of the world’s leading information technology research and advisory companies, included RW3 Technologies among its list of “Representative Vendors” in its June 2016 Market Guide for Retail Execution and Monitoring (REM) Solutions for the Consumer Goods Industry.

The 24-page market guide report for retail execution monitoring is designed to provide a resource for consumer goods CIOs and VPs of Sales in determining which retail execution and monitoring solutions would best help them achieve their strategic retail execution goals. The report analyzes the landscape of retail execution technology offerings currently transforming the industry. It notes that deployment of applications and features like those offered by RW3 such as guided selling through data leveraging is “linked to sales force productivity and product sales improvement.”

In other key findings Gartner notes that functionality continues to improve, especially in the area of seller/retail collaboration and the provision of action-based analytics.

RW3 was one of the smaller companies to be evaluated in the REM report goes toe to toe against industry giants like Accenture, AFS Technologies and SAP in retail activity optimization capabilities. Analysts Ed Porter and Stephen E. Smith note that some of the smaller companies have surprisingly extensive functionality such as integrating live data streams directly into the applications giving reps visibility into distribution at the store level. RW3, they said, would be an important provider to look at “when you…place high value on retail activity optimization or just leveraging store-level and other data to improve product sales and sales force effectiveness.
