A busy Spring has kept the Team at RW3 hopping. We moved our Austin office and are now settled in our new “digs” in Northwest Austin – a bright, new space with a great layout to energize our employees and inspire further innovation.

We are proud to welcome two new clients, Pfizer Consumer Healthcare and All-Clad. These two companies are leaders in their respective channels and categories. We are actively engaged in delivering solutions for them as we speak!

We are excited to announce our first Apple Ipad Solution which will be launched in the fourth quarter of this year. Mark Gruetzner has written a nice piece which outlines the initial product and the evolution of the Ipad capabilities over the next 12-18 months. We plan to keep you informed as we get the product into the field in live client environments - and are certainly interested in adding clients who see the Ipad hardware choice making sense for their entities.

Planning has begun for our 2011 Executive Peer Group conference (EPG) to be held at Lost Pines Resort in September.  Judging by the registrations thus far, we are pleased to see that many new client faces are becoming involved in championing the relationship with RW3.  We look forward to an exciting program and a great turnout!

Our employee spotlight is on Senior Software Architect, Daniel Thompson, who is an officer in the National Guard and is being deployed to Iraq in July.  We are proud of you Daniel and thank you for your service!

If you are interested in adding to, or refining your current solutions, please call me, Cal or Tom to discuss your thoughts - and as always, thank you for your support.

Imagine getting off of a plane in Austin, Texas.  You are there for a business meeting, but have a few hours to kill, so you would like to drop into a nearby retail outlet and see how your brands and products are presented on the shelf.  Basically, you’d like to conduct a quick audit and be able to communicate the results to field management and the retail sales representative who is in charge of that particular store.

RW3 now makes that possible with our latest Mobile Audit solution which runs on the iPad.  This solution is just the first of a selection of mobile auditing solutions we call our RW3 Mobile Audit Road Map, all of which will make the audit process simpler and more effective.

The latest solution from RW3 consists of a Mobile Audit application that operates on the iPad. The RW3 Audit Portal allows you to set up audit questions and scoring, download any audit data that has been collected, and to download audit Summary Reports (ASRs) for each store audit conducted.

Employee Spotlight: Daniel Thompson
Senior Software Architect

Daniel joined RW3 in 2006 as a Development Intern while a student at University of Texas. After earning a degree in Computer Science, Daniel came onboard full-time and soon became the Development contact for both Nestlé and Kellogg’s US for several years. He led one of our off-shore teams in developing the Nestlé VET system, and he has worked closely with most of RW3’s other client systems.  As Senior Software Architect, Daniel takes an active role in learning and incorporating new technologies & methods into RW3 development projects. He is currently spearheading mobile applications development.

Daniel recently returned to RW3 from a military leave of absence at Fort Rucker, AL, where he learned to fly helicopters. He currently serves as a Blackhawk Pilot and Platoon Leader with the 1-108th Attack Helicopter Battalion of the Texas Army National Guard, based at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.  Daniel helps keep RW3 physically fit by organizing company soccer, kickball, football, softball, and volleyball teams within the Austin Sports & Social Club. In his leisure time, he stays busy with running, weightlifting, soccer, and rock climbing, and plays lead guitar in Ashleaf, an Austin blues-rock band.
